Privacy & Terms
How Prater Technical Partners, Inc. handles the information you submit through pratertechnical.com, and the terms that apply to quotes and webstore orders. Questions about anything on this page: sales@pratertechnical.com.
Privacy
What we collect
- Form submissions — when you request a quote, submit an application checklist, or use a contact form, we receive what you type: name, company, email, phone, and the application details you provide. Submissions are emailed to our sales inbox and used to respond to your request.
- Order details — webstore purchases generate an order record: the configured part number, price, and your shipping and contact information, used to fulfill the order and provide status and support.
- Payment — webstore payment is processed by Square. Card details are entered on Square's checkout and handled by Square under its own privacy policy; Prater Technical Partners never sees or stores your card number.
What we don't do
- No analytics or advertising trackers — this site does not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies.
- No sale of personal information — the information you submit is used to quote, fulfill, and support your business with us. We do not sell it or share it beyond what fulfilling your request requires (for example, passing your shipping address to a carrier, or your application details to the manufacturer's engineering group when you ask an application question).
- No unsolicited marketing lists — submitting a form gets you a reply about that request, not a mailing-list enrollment.
Retention and removal
Quote correspondence and order records are retained as ordinary business records (tax and warranty support require keeping order history). To ask what we hold about you or to request removal of information not required for a business record, email sales@pratertechnical.com.

Specifications and accuracy
Product specifications, model numbers, and application claims on this site are compiled from current manufacturer datasheets, catalogs, and price lists (see the Editorial Policy for sourcing standards). Manufacturers revise datasheets; verify final specifications against the manufacturer's current datasheet — or with us — before purchase. If you find a discrepancy, tell us and we will correct it.
Pricing and orders
- Webstore lines — published prices are manufacturer list prices per configured part number, per the price-list edition stated on each shop page. Freight and any applicable sales tax are added at checkout. Contact us for current lead time before buying.
- Rep-firm lines — most of the catalog is quote-only: pricing, lead time, and terms are provided on a current quotation, and the manufacturer is the vendor of record on those orders.
Sales tax
Sales tax is collected on orders shipped to New York and New Jersey, where Prater Technical Partners, Inc. is registered to collect. For orders shipped to other states, we do not collect sales tax; your state may require you to self-assess and remit use tax on taxable purchases. Tax-exempt customers shipping to New York or New Jersey: submit your exemption certificate — made out to Prater Technical Partners, Inc. — by email to sales@pratertechnical.com or at checkout.
Order documentation
If your order requires documentation — a Certificate of Conformance, Certificate of Origin, or calibration certificate — request it at the time of order (webstore orders: note it in the checkout order notes). The factory attaches documentation when the order is placed; it cannot be produced after the fact.
Cancellations, returns, and RMA
Warranty periods vary based on brand and product type. If a product has a problem, let us know the issue and send a photo of the nameplate, or the part number and serial number, and we will research and advise RMA options with the manufacturer. For webstore purchases, cancellations are subject to factory approval; if approved, a 25% restocking fee may apply.
Warranty
Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty, which passes through to you. Prater Technical Partners facilitates warranty claims with the factory but does not extend a separate warranty of its own. Full field installation, ongoing on-site repair, and standalone calibration services are referred to manufacturer-authorized service networks or qualified third-party shops.
Territory
Representation and distribution coverage varies by manufacturer; each brand page states its coverage. Certain regional lines sell within a defined territory only (for example, RecordALL webstore sales ship within Prater's Badger Meter regional territory), and orders outside a line's territory may be referred to the manufacturer's authorized channel for your area.
Site content
Site content is published by Prater Technical Partners, Inc. Manufacturer names, product names, and logos belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the lines the firm is contracted to represent or distribute.
