Product Overview
The Model RCDL mechanical register is the standard, lowest-cost RecordALL read-out — a basic six-digit non-resettable totalizer for the many installs where a running total is the only thing the application asks of the meter. It is magnetically driven from the meter with no power and no electronics; the read is a straight-reading six-wheel odometer, with a test hand and a low-flow mark on the dial face. The standard register reads to 120°F on RCDL Disc meters and to 250°F on Industrial Turbo meters, with a 250°F option on Disc meters fitted with the matching higher-temperature disc-meter option. Units are U.S. gallons on both styles, with liters available on Disc and cubic meters on Industrial Turbo. When the read-out later has to do more — an encoded AMI read, a remote display, or an output to a PLC — the same meter takes an electronic register in place of the RCDL without touching the spool.
Key Features & Benefits
- Totalization, simple and unpowered — a six-digit non-resettable totalizer for sites that need a running total and nothing more — no power, no electronics, magnetically driven from the meter
- Low-flow indicator on the dial — the dial face shows movement at very low rates, so even a slow continuous draw registers at the meter
- Tamper-resistant — the sealed register reads straight off the odometer and resists unauthorized removal
- Lifts off without a shutdown — the standard bayonet mount lets the register come off for service without disrupting water service

Common Applications
- Inventory totalization — a running total of water through the line
- Process control where totalization is the only functional need
- Sites with no power for an electronic read-out
- Standard read-out on RCDL Disc and Industrial Turbo meters
- Hot-water service to 250°F on Industrial Turbo (or the higher-temperature Disc option)
To size & select the right Mechanical Register:
Use the input form to tell us the meter and what the read-out has to do — a local total, a resettable rate / total counter, a scaled pulse or 4–20 mA into a PLC or SCADA, batch control, or a cellular cloud read — and we’ll match the register, transmitter or controller to it.
