Cincinnati Sub-Zero Benchtop Vibration Chamber

Product Overview

The TCB-1.3 benchtop vibration chamber brings all-axis repetitive-shock vibration to compact products and electronics in a small footprint. Four pneumatically actuated hammers apply random vibration in six degrees of freedom — x, y, z plus roll, pitch, and yaw — from 1 to 60 GRMS. It is dual-purpose: run it as a stand-alone benchtop table, or lift the base (120 lb) into a 16 cu ft or larger temperature chamber for combined temperature + vibration testing — an economical path to combined-environment screening for small articles. The same EZT-570S touchscreen controls it.

Other CSZ chamber families
HALT / HASS Time Compressor — full-size combined rapid thermal cycling + all-axis vibration AGREE Temp/Humidity/Vibration — temperature/humidity with a separately sourced high-force shaker Thermal Shock — TS / TSB — hot↔cold in seconds, air or liquid Galden bath
Cincinnati Sub-Zero TCB-1.3 benchtop vibration chamber — compact all-axis repetitive-shock table with EZT-570S control console.
CSZ TCB-1.3 benchtop vibration chamber — compact all-axis (6 dof) repetitive shock, 1 to 60 GRMS; runs stand-alone or drops into a temperature chamber for combined testing.

Key Features & Benefits

  • All-axis repetitive shock in a benchtop footprint — four pneumatic hammers drive true six-degree-of-freedom random vibration on a small table, putting HALT-style stress within reach of a bench rather than a full chamber. Multi-axis screening without the floor space of a Time Compressor.
  • Stand-alone, or combined with temperature — the lid and console lift off so the base drops into a 16 cu ft (or larger) temperature chamber, turning a vibration table into a combined temperature/vibration rig. One table covers vibration alone or vibration plus temperature.
  • An economical route to combined-environment testing — pairing the table with an environmental chamber you may already own delivers combined screening for compact products at a fraction of a dedicated combined chamber. Combined testing without a second big capital buy.
  • EZT-570S touchscreen control, ready out of the box — the same color touchscreen controller runs every chamber in the line — 99-step / 1,000-cycle profiles, on-board data logging and audit trail, and email / text alarms if a parameter strays — so an operator who knows one CSZ chamber knows them all. One control platform across your whole test lab.
  • Monitor and run it from anywhere — Ethernet / LAN VNC lets you watch and control the chamber from a PC, phone, or tablet, and optional EZ-View software brings several chambers onto one dashboard. Long soak and cycle tests do not need someone standing at the chamber.

Specifications

How it works
Compact all-axis vibration system — four pneumatically actuated vibration hammers apply random, repetitive-shock vibration to a small product for reliability testing. It is dual-purpose: run it as a stand-alone benchtop vibration table, or lift the base into a temperature chamber for combined temperature + vibration testing.
Chamber configuration
Single model — the TCB-1.3. A removable lid and an easy-lift-off control console let the table base drop into a typical 16 cu ft (456 L) or larger environmental chamber for combined testing.
Standard models & sizes
TCB-1.3 — benchtop all-axis vibration chamber. Table shown fits a CSZ ZP-16 (16 cu ft) chamber for combined temperature/vibration work.
Temperature range
−70 °C to +163 °C for the table base when used inside an environmental chamber (the temperature is supplied by the host chamber, not the vibration unit).
Vibration
1 to 60 GRMS, 3 Hz to 10 kHz on an unloaded table, from four pneumatically actuated hammers; two accelerometers ship standard (one for control, one for vibration monitoring).
Degrees of freedom
Six degrees of freedom — random vibration in the x, y, and z axes plus roll, pitch, and yaw.
Workspace volume
16″W × 16″D × 10″H (41 × 41 × 25 cm) — sized for compact products and electronics.
Table weight
Overall table weight 190 lb (86 kg); base only 120 lb (54 kg) — light enough that the base lifts into a host chamber for combined testing.
Controller
EZT-570S touchscreen — data logging, trend charts, remote control and monitoring, and automated alarm messaging, on the same control platform as the rest of the CSZ line.
PC software & connectivity
Remote view and control via LAN VNC from PC, phone, or tablet; optional VibTrak™ software runs both the CSZ environmental chamber and the benchtop table together and generates PSD curves; optional EZ-View PC software for multi-chamber monitoring and data logging.
Safety & interlocks
Quiet operation with built-in EZT-570S safeties and automated alarm messaging that sends email and text alerts on alarm to reduce unattended-test downtime.
Test standards
Repetitive-shock random-vibration reliability testing of compact products and electronics, stand-alone or combined with temperature. Bring the product and the screen profile and the setup is matched to it.
Utilities & installation
115 V / 1-ph / 60 Hz or 220 V / 1-ph / 50 Hz; compressed air <20 SCFM at 100 psi. Exterior table base 22″W × 23″D × 12″H; overall (with console) 33″ × 31″ × 23″.

Common Applications

  • Reliability screening of compact products and electronic modules
  • Benchtop HALT-style repetitive-shock vibration where floor space is limited
  • Combined temperature + vibration testing of small articles inside an existing chamber
  • Circuit-board and small-assembly precipitation/detection screening
  • Engineering-lab and R&D vibration testing without a full Time Compressor chamber
Fit limit: the TCB-1.3 is built for compact articles on a benchtop table. For larger or heavier articles, or for chamber-integrated rapid thermal cycling plus vibration, use the HALT/HASS Time Compressor; for a high-force electrodynamic shaker with temperature/humidity, the AGREE (AV/CV) chambers.

Design & Selection Considerations

  • Size the product to the table and its GRMS, not the other way around — the TCB-1.3 is built for compact products on a 16″-square workspace at up to 60 GRMS unloaded; a large or heavy article will load the table down and lose the spectrum, and belongs on a full HALT/HASS Time Compressor or an AGREE chamber with a high-force shaker. Confirm the article fits the bench table before planning around it.
  • For combined testing, check the host chamber fit and rating — the base needs a 16 cu ft or larger chamber to drop into, and the host chamber supplies the temperature (−70 to +163 °C at the base) and must tolerate the table mass and any feedthrough for air and cabling. Pair the table and chamber as a system, not as two unrelated buys.
  • Plan the compressed-air supply — the pneumatic hammers need clean compressed air at up to 20 SCFM / 100 psi — confirm the bench has it before install. A simple utility, but the table will not vibrate without it.
  • Size the load to the workspace, not the workspace to the load — a chamber can only condition a load that air can reach — pack the workspace wall to wall and uniformity and change rate both collapse. Keep the article plus fixturing to about a third of the workspace volume, and account for any heat a powered article dissipates. Use the input form to give us the article size, weight, and powered heat load and we size from there.

To configure the right CSZ benchtop vibration setup:

Use the input form to send the test standard you are working to, the article size and weight (and any heat it dissipates when powered), the temperature range and change rate you need, and any combined stress — vibration, humidity, or altitude — and we will configure the chamber, refrigeration tier, and controller / documentation package to match.
