About this industry
A vessel machinery space runs hot, oily, and salt-soaked at once — fuel oil that has to be preheated before it will burn clean, lube and hydraulic oil that need heat and local indication, a main engine whose fuel consumption you want to trend, and a propeller shaft that carries every bit of the torque and thrust. Prater Technical Partners supplies that layer end to end: Accutherm Monel marine-duty circulation and large inline heaters for fuel-oil preheat and oil heating in salt service, Blancett positive-displacement meters for engine fuel-consumption monitoring, Hedland variable-area meters for shipboard fuel and hydraulic flow indication, and WIKA-ST A-10 transmitters and torque-thrust cells for engine-room pressure and propeller-shaft measurement. Prater Technical works with you to spec each one from the fluid, the vessel class, and the pressure rating.
